We understand that pets are part of the family too. Be assured that you and your beloved pet will be treated with care and respect.
Opening in February 2026 and located at Priory Woods Cemetery, our dedicated pet cremation service allows you to inter or scatter their ashes in a similar way to humans.
We cater for large dogs and any pet smaller than this. Cremations are by appointment only, please contact us to book.
What to expect
On the day of your booking, please bring your pet to the Priory Woods Cemetery car park where you will see a dedicated car port for you to park under. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to collect your pet from your home or Vet.
You won’t be expected to leave immediately, please feel free to walk around the gardens or sit in our visitor centre where, should you wish, our bereavement team are on hand to chat.
Your pet ashes will be ready to collect the following (working) day, or you may choose to lay them to rest in our Pet Garden. Appointments for scatterings are available, even if your pet was not cremated with us.
Pet Gardens at Priory Woods Cemetery
Our Pet Gardens offer a dedicated area for the scattering of ashes of our animal friends. You can then visit and remember them in a lovely environment tucked away off the Woodland Walk. You can then choose to place a commemorative plaque on the pet frieze. Please do not attach any unauthorised items to the pet frieze, such as flowers in packaging or collars.
