We understand that pets are part of the family too. Be assured that you and your beloved pet will be treated with care and respect.
Opening in September 2026 and located at Priory Woods Cemetery, our dedicated pet cremation service allows you to inter or scatter their ashes in a similar way to humans.
We cater for large dogs (up to a maximum of 50kg) and any pet smaller than this. Cremations will be by appointment only.
What to expect
On the day of your booking, please bring your pet to the Priory Woods Cemetery car park where you will see a dedicated car port for you to park under. A member of our team will be there to greet you. Here you can say your goodbyes and when you are ready, we will take your pet into our care.
You will then be directed to the visitor centre. Here, an experienced bereavement officer will assist you to complete paperwork, offer support and invite you share memories of your cherished pet.
Please be assured that your pet will remain onsite at Priory Woods Cemetery at all times and shown respect throughout. Ashes will usually be ready to collect within 5 working days and will be presented to you in a biodegradable box within a bag. Alternatively if you choose to lay them to rest in our Pet Garden, we can keep in our care until your scattering day and time. Scatterings are by appointment only are available on week days, even if your pet was not cremated with us.
Pet Garden at Priory Woods Cemetery
Walk through the wooden arch into the beautiful Pet Garden which offers a dedicated area for the scattering of ashes of our animal friends. You can then visit and remember them in a lovely environment with picnic tables located off the Woodland Walk. The Pet Frieze provides a place to memorialise your pet with a personalised commemorative plaque costing £150 including a 5 year lease.
Flowers without packaging can be placed under the Pet Frieze or Pet Garden rose trees. Any other items such as collars or toys will be removed.
