82 major air raids took place between 1939 and 1945 causing the deaths of over 1200 people.
At the event open to all we remember them, hold readings and perform the laying of wreaths.
The service takes place at the Civilian Memorial Cenotaph within the city's Northern Cemetery, starting at 2pm.
