Book of Remembrance

The Book of Remembrance is a set of large books where hand written dedications can be placed. Many mourners find it helpful to place a physical reference and message to their loved one, especially if their ashes are scattered.

Each Book of Remembrance is displayed in their own room situated within the chapel building at Chanterlands Crematorium. The pages are turned each morning to the relevant date and visitors can view those pages despite what day of the week it falls. Any date in the book can also be accessed digitally at Eastern Cemetery and online here (opens in a new window).

A new book is created once most of the pages are full.
